On the road again

On the last day of our visit to the Grand Canyon, we went back to the canyon for one last look at this magnificent wonder.  We went to the Yavapai Museum and the overlook at that point.  We visited the geological museum there and then took a stroll by the edge of the rim for a few last pictures.  We were just as awestruck on our last look as we were on our first.

At noon, we headed west again to make our way to the Hoover Dam and then on to Las Vegas.  Once again, the geography of the land has changed.  The mountains in western Arizona appear to be made of many rocks and have little or no vegetation.   In some instances the rocks appear to be stacked on top of each other.

We are spending the night on Historic Route 66 on the high desert in Kingman, Arizona.

I zoomed in the show a part of the Colorado River.

Saying good-bye to Smokey.

We are staying at a new Holiday Inn Express, not at one of these motels on Route 66.

  1. Every picture of the canyon is so different. The photography is spectacular! Y'all should take pictures for postcards. Enjoy your next stop!
